What people are saying…

about Baby Preparation Consults…

  • “Your calm demeanor makes you a baby whisperer. Also, postpartum planning is a necessity by all! It’s a crucial part of the “baby planning” preparation and was very helpful in sparking conversation at home, even - or especially - for a second time parent.”

    — Sarah

  • “Lexi is kind and down to earth. No questions are off limits, nor does she shy away from giving you an honest answer. I appreciate her directness! As an expecting first time mom, the market is saturated with different styles, brands, etc. This is very overwhelming when you're trying to make the "best" decisions for a child that you haven't even met yet, nor will know what their needs/preferences are. Lexi was able to offer suggestions for narrowing down all of these choices that are available. There are so many decisions you have to make before your baby arrives, it was great being able to talk it through with someone.”

  • “Creating a postpartum plan with Lexi was probably the greatest tool in setting up my postpartum mental health for success. The difference between this postpartum experience and my last was literally night and day. Also, learning how to take care of myself and put myself first. Learning how to set boundaries and create a postpartum sanctuary. Learning that setting boundaries and putting myself first isn't a mean or bad thing! So much help with breastfeeding.”

about Postpartum Care…

  • “Lexi is the best thing to happen to my postpartum and early parenting experience. She is genuinely warm and empathic, and shows up each week eager to hear how you are doing. Lexi connects easily and builds strong relationships. She draws out your concerns with attunement, care, and respect, and meets them with incredibly helpful expert guidance and problem solving. And on top of that she is very LGBTQ+ affirming, which was important to me as a queer non-binary birthing parent. I looked forward to my time with Lexi each week and miss our meetings now that they are over, but I also feel like we graduated into parents who have found our sea legs! I’m so grateful to Lexi for helping us get there.”

    — Liz

  • “I received help from Lexi regarding lactation and breastfeeding, which has been an anxiety inducing area as a first time mom. Lexi’s consultation and support helped me tremendously. She is personable, supportive, and holistic, and looked at our situation in the whole picture, not just one portion. I would highly recommend her.”

    — Bori

  • “Lexi was an incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and professional asset to our family after the birth of our second child. She is willing to share her knowledge and resources and goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for our family. She both freed up time for me to bond with my newborn and gave me much needed breaks to recharge. Lexi has a magic touch with babies, that's the only way I can explain it! In addition, she was able to give me encouraging and very useful advice when it came to my 3.5 year old and the huge developmental changes he's been going through. I'd recommend Lexi to any parent/caregiver, especially if it's your first child- I wish I had used her services with our first, it would have made a world of difference!”

    — Rita

  • “Lexi was very helpful in guiding us and teaching us about the first few weeks with our baby. From the challenges you run into as a parent to the feeding issues, Lexi was so helpful in keeping us grounded while also productively leading us in the right direction with the best interest of our child.”

    — Postpartum Care client

  • “I have confidence in myself that I can take care of my baby. You have given me so much reassurance in my ability and intuitive care that I give me baby and without you sharing those words of affirmation with me in the difficult postpartum period I would probably still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing!”

    — Steph

  • “Working with Lexi gave us a better understanding of feeding. Overall conversations and being able to randomly ask and have trusted source for feedback was something we would not have otherwise had.”

    — Postpartum Care client

  • “I just want to thank you for the bit of respite you gave our family, along with the wonderful support and encouragement. You made a world of a difference for us!”

    — Postpartum Care client

  • "Lexi has a wide breadth of knowledge about babies and is also amazing at folding fitted sheets and organizing clothing! It was really nice to have an extra set of hands even though I wasn’t as wiped out as I thought I would be as a new mom, I didn’t realize how much energy I would expend on getting the baby down for naps and just generally always needing to be available without time for simple things like laundry. Having Lexi there to help with all things baby and household was a huge help in the early days of parenting."

    — Krissie

  • “We worked with Lexi after the birth of our first baby and she helped us so much. She offered us tons of recommendations about baby safety, nursery setup, babywearing, breastfeeding, baby sleep and more. Having Lexi as an additional resource in the early days as parents gave us a nice sense of security and confidence that we would not have had otherwise. During her visits she helped take items off of our plates so we could recharge - a new parent's dream! Lexi is also kind, compassionate and an amazing listener.”

    — Zoe

  • “Lexi has been, and continues to be, an amazing resource for our growing family. From the struggle we faced to conceive, to navigating the chaos of new parenthood, she has always been a dependable, positive force. With kindness and grace, she has regularly reminded us to: care for ourselves, focus on what matters, and enjoy the adventure. I can’t say enough good things about Lexi and our experience with her over the last 2 years.”

    — Tamas

  • “Lexi was such a blessing after I had my daughter. In this crazy, unprecedented time [of COVID-19], she made sure I never felt alone. Even though she couldn’t be there physically, she showed her unwavering support by always checking in, and even leaving me goodies on the porch! She did the absolute best while keeping herself, me, and my daughter safe and it was so helpful. I can only imagine how much help and support she would give hands on!”

    — Claire

  • “She helped me in many ways, but because Lexi and I worked together, I am more confident in being a mother to my son.”

    — Lucia

  • “Lexi supported me and my family through the birth of my second son and beyond. I learned so much from her: both from her knowledge of infant development and tricks of the trade for sleeping, eating, etc. and from her example. She is unflappable, consistent, and able to be present and appreciate all the little moments in baby's life. It was such a joy to have her in our home.”

    — Martha

  • "My experience with Lexi greatly impacted my postpartum journey and was something I didn’t know that I would need and enjoy so much. She helped make our spaces more functional around the house, and also helped with general organization of my day and time and. I would highly recommend her services!"

“I was asked to share my experience with my doula, Lexi Tabor. It could have been something as simple as a voice memo or a sentence or two and I truly smiled at the thought of trying to explain all of what this woman has done for me, my children, and family in just a sentence or two. Lexi did something that I didn’t think was possible by the end of each of my pregnancies: she turned nothing into something.
She brought soil, seeds, water, and wind to a desert. She carefully carved out two holes for each of my children. She filled them with fresh soil, a seed and water in each. Every day she came, she made sure she gave them water, wind, and just enough sun for each of the seeds. By the end, the holes were not holes anymore, the seeds were not seeds anymore, and the desert was not a desert anymore. The seeds had grown into beautiful flowers. The wind had carried the pollen across the soil and covered the desert floor with them. The water had turned into a small pond that fed everyone in the beautiful garden. But most importantly, in the center of the garden, there was a tree.
The tree’s leaves covered the flowers from the hot summer days. She watched over us as the storms rolled in and made sure that everything and everyone was protected. She was patient and kind while waiting for each and every flower and plant in the garden to be ready for the day. She loves my seeds like they are her own, and more importantly, she loved my seeds when I could not. When I was broken and could not care for myself or my family, Lexi did. She was the tree that we didn’t know we needed until we did.
I have no words for how much Lexi has impacted my life as a person, mother, or wife, but I hope this explains to others how important she has been to helping us grow our garden of life.”
